Hi, I’m Stefanie! I'm an illustrator and graphic designer based in Antwerp, Belgium.
I have been fascinated by drawings and colors ever since I was a child. Having a mom as an artist is a big part of that passion, she introduced me to this beautiful universe. As I grew up, I had to develop my wings and learn how to fly on my own. I studied illustration and graphic design and traveled around the world to get inspired. One of the most memorable places I’ve been to was Bulgaria. There, I met friends who lovingly nicknamed me “Mouchitska”, which means little fly.
This became one big inspiration for Mouche - the French version for fly - because sometimes, an idea is just like a little fly, it is around you, but you can’t see it clearly or capture it that easily. Together we can make sure that idea is captured and it is brought to life through drawings and colors, so your special moments and highlights are forever remembered.
Mouche: handmade, enhanced digitally
I begin my design process on paper, using watercolor, collage, monotype, or stamps. It starts with a sketch in my sketchbook. Next, I work on a larger size of paper with brush and paint, scissors and glue, roller and ink,… After working manually I enhance the color or add details digitally, working with programs such as photoshop and illustrator. And finally, I prepare the design before printing it myself or sending it to the printing company.
